This I feel is another instance of a few loud mouths ruining it for the rest of the group. Inevitably in every situation there will be a couple of obnoxious or annoying people and sadly these qualities have a high correlation to strength of volume too. It is these students that give graduate students as a whole such a bad rap. Think of all the PhD students that make everyone call them ‘doctor’ while they are still in school, not to mention it can be obnoxious even when they graduate (like I want them running to my rescue if I am choking). Anyways, the few good ones are the ones that actually get it and are talented. So it’s not what most expected, but then again, is anything?
